There’s something really special about weddings that feel a little whimsical. A little playful. A little dreamy. The kind where every detail feels intentional but nothing feels overly stiff or forced.
This wedding at Willowood Ranch in Anna, Texas was exactly that.
From the start, the entire day felt light, joyful, and full of personality. The venue itself set the tone beautifully. Willowood Ranch has this quiet charm to it. The property feels tucked away from everything, with open space, soft light, and a chapel that feels both classic and intimate.
And honestly… chapel ceremonies will always have a soft spot in my heart.
There’s something about the stillness before everyone walks in. The quiet anticipation. The way the light filters through the windows while guests take their seats.
It creates such a meaningful atmosphere for the ceremony.
This one felt especially magical.
The florals by The Grand Poppy added so much texture and movement throughout the day. They leaned into a whimsical, romantic feel that paired perfectly with the setting. Soft colors, organic shapes, and arrangements that felt effortless but elevated.
Exactly the kind of design that photographs beautifully without overpowering the moment.
The bride wore a stunning Selkie dress that truly felt like it belonged in a fairytale. Light, unique, and a little unexpected in the best way. It matched the overall energy of the day perfectly. Elegant but playful.
Hair and makeup by RDG Makeup kept everything fresh and natural, which always photographs so beautifully in both indoor and outdoor light.
One of my favorite parts of the day was the ceremony in the chapel.
The space itself creates such a calm, emotional moment. Guests gathered close, the music started, and the whole room just settled into the moment. These are always the parts of a wedding day I love documenting the most.
The quiet glances.
The deep breaths.
The subtle smiles between family members.
Those are the moments that end up meaning the most years from now.
After the ceremony, the celebration really began.
The reception design tied everything together so well. The dance floor by Imperial Floors brought a fun energy to the space, and Big D Rentals helped create a layout that felt both elegant and welcoming for guests.
And once DJ Questionmark got the music going… the dance floor stayed full.
Which is always a good sign of a really great wedding.
Throughout the entire day, Ivey & Co Events kept everything running smoothly. Having a thoughtful coordinator makes such a difference for couples. It allows them to actually enjoy the day instead of worrying about timelines and logistics.
And that’s exactly what this wedding felt like.
Relaxed.
Joyful.
Fully present.
